As happens with his fellow Argentine Ángel Cabrera, this golfer doesn't offer too much consistency, but when he's inspired it's a delight to watch him play golf. His rounds are often sprinkled with bogies and spectacular birdies and eagles. He's another very long hitter who can nonetheless display an elegant and smooth short game.
During the British Open he scored 10 birdies in the last round, led during some time and ended third, one shy of Padraig and Sergio García.
Today he scored a 63 in the Deutsche Bank Players' Championship of Europe (2 eagles, 5 birdies). He said: "On Sunday I talked to my manager whether to go back to Argentina but heard it was a good course, so decided to come here. I am glad I have." Indeed he is.
I thought this 25 yo golfer deserved his own thread.

Congratulations to Andres Romero on his first win; the Deutche Bank Players Championship....not a bad 2 weeks between the British Open and this tournament...a cool million four...this guy could be someone to watch at the PGA Championship.....
Go figure, eh? Guy comes off the Challenge Tour - 14th on that tour in 2005, not exactly lights out - then misses the cut 17 out of the first 39 tourneys he plays in over 18 months, then goes nuts.
I don't know if anybody noticed but in a shot when they showed him practicing on the range he was using sometype of training aid. Anybody know what it was?
