Last Wednesday conspicuous members of the Argentine "artillery", including US Open laureate Ángel Cabrera, met at a driving range in Del Viso (Buenos Aires, Argentina) for a long drive championship. Competitors were pro golfers who play in the European tour, the PGA and the local tour, not long drive specialists (a la Sean "The Beast" Fister). Colombian Diego Vanegas (352 yds) played off with Ricardo González, who finally won (359 yds) although the longest drive was shot by Emilio Domínguez: 377 yards.
Next day I went to the very same range, which is not far from home. Usually it has markers up to 250 yards, but this time it was funny to see 380 yds markers.
