Afraid not Bama...the `Spirit of Ecstacy` was/is a small sculpture, modelled by Eleanor Thornton. It is one of the most recognisable sculptures in the world..

Nope, Bama...The Spirit of Ecstacy is the name for the hood ornament used on Rolls-Royce...but I don't know the connection

It was worth a shot...As you can tell, I'm neither an art afficianado or a rolls driver...But, now that you say that, it kinda comes to mind... It would be a good plane name though(i.e. Spirit of St. Louis)

...the first Englishman killed in a plane crash was Charles Rolls (1910), of Rolls Royce . The thread`s open, if anyone would like to start another `connection` puzzler...

The last commisioned work of Daniel Chester French is a statue at Ball State, he was also the sculptor of the Abraham Lincoln statue in the Lincoln Memorial
