Which section do you check out first when you sign in to GR??

Just as the thread says...when you sign in to GR, assuming all the sections have new posts since your last visit, and you're not involved in a debate in any particular thread, which one do you make it a point to check first.

For me, it used to be the General Golf Discussion, but lately, I find myself checking the fun and games first...I like to start my GR viewing by reading something light and funny.

the FIRST thing I do is to click on that little tab called "New posts" :)

However, my favorite is adjusted to go directly to new posts when i click golf rewind on my PC. :)

General golf discussion or golf equipment are my two favorites. Never really thought about which one i go to first.

I will usually check the "New Posts" before I head into any individual forums, then it is General Discussion first.

I always check New Posts, scan through all the pages, and then I move on to whatever else the Internet has to offer to me.

Or I study for Psychology. I just spent 2 hours catching up on a week's worth of reading, but I'm finally caught up!

I added "Check New Posts" to the poll since this is what I tend to do first.

I check out who's on and then hit 'new posts'. I'll go anywhere I see a new post or thread that interests me...except for the equipment threads. I generally only hit those because it's part of the job. BTW, Card is there anything new on assigning a special equipment forum mod ?

I don't know, but when time is limited, I tend to skip those forums altogether.

What I do is scroll down the list of all last posts in each section...and if I find something I am interested in or it's something I can contribute to I open that first. Then I usually go and click new posts.

The first section that I've been checking lately has been the Sports section. Then after that I'll check out others if I feel like it....

If you want light and funny you should start with the "What did you shoot today?" thread!

I usually go straight to Fun and Games first and check out Threadjacker's Anonymous to see if C-B-C or Stagday have posted any new craziness. Then I go to Word Association. If those posts counted, I would be wearing my green jacket right now. Since I am a relatively inept golfer, I don't have a lot to contribute to the other forums although I do enjoy reading them.

When I was on GR about 3 times a day, "Check new posts" was the first thing I did (unless I saw that I had a PM).

Lately, I've been going to The Lounge first, which may be a sign of year-end burn-out on golf... heresy to say, I know.

If there's hot story in pro golf (e.g., it's the week of a major), I go to Tour Talk first.

Personally, I tend to avoid the Pro Shop and Marketplace forums, although I believe they are good forums for this site to have.
