Wonderdrugs...!

I just wondered whether anyone takes any legal drugs to help their game, or indeed any supplement tablets that they`d recommend for general well being.(BTW kiwidave, alcohol doesn`t count... )

A golf partner of mine has used cod liver oil (neat ) for nearly 30 years and he`s as fit as a flea with no joint pains whatsoever despite his senior age. He puts it all down to the cod liver oil.

Another friend of mine recommended Glucosamine tablets...and WOW THEY ARE EXCELLENT . I would highly recommend them to anyone who suffers from the `golf aches` , or aches in general!

Not for golf specifically, but I do take a vitamin/mineral supplement (Centrum ) which has improved my overall well-being (meaning I get to play a bit more golf). My number one golf supplement is good old H20, loads of it before and during a round. A bit of protein immediately after playing helps with the aches etc.

Between my doctors' contributions and my own attempts to enhance my fitness, I take a handful of pills morning and night and a couple of different inhalers--none of which has had any beneficial effects on my golf game at all. However, I do credit them with keeping my head from exploding, my blood circulating, my lungs working, and my brain from short-circuiting.

Glucosamine, huh?

Pssst....uh, Valeogut........I suggest you ask your doctor about increasing the dosage on your brain medication.

I find about a dozen Marlboro during each round helps my stress levels ,followed by alchoholic beverages at any opportunity after the round. I NEVER drink on the course out of respect for the game , and my score.

I used to employ the cigarette-a-hole tactic, but after twenty years or so of that, I found that I was having trouble finding a spot between coughs to take a swing!
