One of those days

Today was one of those days that you just wish that you could go back and start all over again. Left the office at 5:30 after a bad day walked around the corner of building to parking lot to my car found that I had a flat tire, just what I needed to end the day. Walked down to the shipping and receiving and warehouse got the portable air compressor to try to air the tire up no luck had to use the tiny donut spare then got caught in about a 3 mile back-up on the interstate due to wreck. As I said just one of those days you wish you start over again and maybe turn out better oh well there’s always tomorrow it could be worse…..maybe.

Halk, that's one of the reasons we play golf, huh? ... to forget those kind of days. A birdie at the Schoolmaster would help.

In another way when I look at the bad days that I am having they no way compare to the bad days the folks along the Gulf Coast are having so I do not have a lot to complain about. PringsRbest & ForgedRbest family and others having a lot more rough time than I and my hats off to all of them for making do the best they can.

Halk: Look at the brightside. Maybe the flat tire delayed you from being in a car accident or someother unforseen thing that may have happened.

Now if a flat tire makes a person miss their T-time, then it's a catastrophe without measure. :nodsmiley :nodsmiley :nodsmiley

Even though life here has been challenging, it should not diminish the fact that ya'll have your bad days and they can be just as frustrating.

I almost had to laugh though, Halk at your plight (and I really do apologize!)because Forged had a similar situation this past weekend. We had friends in New Iberia that were affected by Hurricane Rita and Forged was going to bring supplies to them. After waiting in our lines to get ice, water, and MREs and driving around to try and find gas to bring to them, Forged got ready to leave the house when I noticed he had a flat tire. I just had to laugh because you really begin to wonder just what else can happen. He had picked up a nail from all the debris around here. He found a tire place open and they told him it would be up to a 5 hour wait (they did not have one customer in their shop). He found an auto parts store open and bought the last tire patch kit. After patching the tire, he was able to take off on his mission.

We all have our bad days and I guess our perspective has changed a little around here. I appreciate that you are thinking of us.

And you are right, stagday, you never know how delays might be a blessing in disguise!

Halk miss a tee-time because of a simple flat tire? He's an Alabama boy and those moonshine running, NASCAR boys down there can change a flat tire and be gettin' on down the road before you or I even get our trunk open!

While I'm on the subject........I once had a flat tire on the way to a last second tee time that I was running late for and I got the tire changed in under 5 minutes! Opened the trunk, threw my clubs, pull-cart, and footlocker on the ground and had that flat tire (which I threw into the back seat, along with the jack, to save time) changed in the blink of an eye! I must've looked like a mad man with the jack, tire iron, wheel cover, and lug nuts flying around.........but I made my tee time! I was a greasy mess on the first tee,
but it's only dirt

the only thing better, would have been if you left your clubs,pull-cart, and footlocker on the ground and taken the flat tire in your haste. it could happen i think, lol.
