so, it's raining again

I know things could be worse(hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes), but it's hard to keep a cheery disposition when it's as gray as a cafeteria outside.

AHA! We finally have a little sunshine here in Maryland today! Hopefully I can get back on a course next week. BTW Jim, I played a new course last week and used a buddy's 11.5* driver and hit the heck out of it! I have always gone for lower (9* or less) in my drivers but was really impressed with this one.

It's been cloudy here in NW PA, but with the exception of a good day of rain last Friday and some scattered sprinkles here and there, we've been rain-free. In fact, we've been pretty much rain-free since the beginning of June....good for golfers, not so good for the grass. At least the temps have cooled off now to let it start growing again.

With all that has been going on weather-wise in the rest of the country and the world, I hesitate to say it but this has been and continues to be the best Michigan summer in memory. It's been just glorious since April. Wall-to-wall sunshine and warm temps. We've had a couple of hot spells, but nothing higher than the low 90*s. That probably means we'll get about 15' of snow this winter.

I am on vacation this week and was planning on getting a couple of rounds in since the weather will be getting too cold to play. Unfortunately it has rained every day and I haven't hit a single ball. Not to mention, I came down with something and have been in bed most of the time anyway. Some vacation.

It was raining yesterday morning, then cleared up in the afternoon, raining right now, rained 2 days ago, raining all weekend....

But its Vancouver. It's what is expected around here at this time of the year.
