License Plates

What are some cool custom license plates you have seen before?

You know, the ones that people put sayings or words on to make themselves feel special...

Today I saw one that read "drkngt"...

Can't decide whether it means "Dark Night"... or "Drinking Tea"...

At Tim Horton's, employees are referred to as "Behind The Scenes" team members.

My store's owner's car has a licence plate reading "BTS MGMT". (BTS = Behind The Scenes; MGMT = Management, clearly)

Where I used to live, one of (then) the world's top snooker players lived nearby. His number plate (as we call them) was CUE 80Y (cue boy).

In Minnesota, there's a kind of custom plate you can get, but not by choice. People convicted of Driving Under the Influence get different plates from the rest of us. Normal plates here are letter-letter-letter-number-number-number (e.g., ABC-123). DUI plates start with a W, then another letter (e.g., a U), then four numbers. These plates stay on the car for at least one full registration period (12 months).

I have to say, these cars get my attention when I see them on the road. Of course, you don't know for sure if the person driving is the one with the DUI (it could be the person's spouse who got the DUI). They're controversial.

Saw a couple today...

L8R H8R was one of them, then I forget what the other one was but I believe it had something to do with being toxic... Probably something like TXC WST ... But I remember the licence plate was all rusted, such that it looked like it was getting eaten away by some toxic elements. So I thought that was kinda funny.

The one I have on my truck says "BACCHUS". It's for the Roman god of food, drink and merriment. My wife has a green Ford Focus that has "TRTL" on it.
