You might want to consider adding an "other" option 1IG.

After all, you've left out some classics...Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, Flash, Captain Marvel, IronMan, Teen Titans, Thor and (gasp!) Captain America to name a few.

My personal pick would be Green Lantern.

I dunno, Superman has the whole flying thing going on, but Beowulf, on the other hand, not only kills the most heinous beast in the world, Grendel (which, to me, also is the most horrific name for a beast I've ever read ), but for good measure, dives for hours under the sea and kills his mother too-with her own sword! I know I wouldn't want him after me!!

Funny, my wife and I just finished playing X-Men Legends this weekend. We then watched the special features of the two movies, plus I have a box full of the comics. Of course, my daughter would pick the Incredibles.

If your Beowulf was after me Superman would handle him with ease. Stronger than any other super hero, the ability to fly, x-ray and heat vision, super hot and cold breath, faster than a speeding bullet, and invincible to everything except to the rare element, Kryptonite. It's gonna take more than a sword to scare Superman!

What about Peter Griffin's boat - the S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together. Hard to beat this one...

Well if you're gonna start nominating boats, then wrap your mind around this one: What would it do about crimes on land? Or in the air? A boat's got nothing on that stuff.

I wouldn't say Superman or Batman because they're the popular votes and I go against what society tells me to do. Because I conform to the non-conformists. I would also go against Robin because a circus kid in tights who hangs out in a cave with a middle-aged man and his 80-year-old servant, well, can't be right.

I've never heard of Beowulf (although I'm sure he's a great superhero... after all he's lasted over the ages and is the most famous superhero of all time ) and I'm gonna go against Wonder Woman because, not the fact that she's a woman, but because who was a lasso that makes people tell the truth? What kind of superpower is that to have? Here's my lasso. It's the haul-your-***-to-jail-for-the-rest-of-your-stinking-life-you-know-nothing-worthless-criminal lasso! And on that note, who the deuce is Captain Canuck?!

The Hulk? He's a green dude on steroids. Spiderman? NERD! X-Men? Well if you've got a school of like a hundred superhero mutants who are more powerful than any criminals the human race has to offer, you've got great chances anyway! You're putting in little to no effort per hero if you're an X-Man. AND they're sexist. They have X-Women too, but they're still called X-Men. What? Are they ex-men? Were they once men, then went under the knife and came back women, with super powers? I doubt it.

I'm too lazy to look back on Threadjackers Anonymous (sorry CBC) so I dunno about any of those superheroes. Therefore, there can only be one greatest superhero of all-time...

...

Here's a little explanation of my choice of Characters...

Batman - Wears black, lives in a cave, drives a sweet car - What a guy!

Spiderman - its all in the catchy song - "Spins a web, any size, catches thieves... just like flies!"

Superman - the name says it all - he's super.

The Hulk - Take pity on Dr. Banner. How would you feel being blasted by radiation, causing you to turn into a raging, giant green illiterate monster whenever you got annoyed?

Captain Canuck - Representing the North. Plus, he's got a cool name and a sweet costume. Here's a little info about him. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Study/4273/cc.html

X-Men - Powerful in groups, not so much when alone. That's why i said X-men in general.

Robin - Representing the likes of Elton John... see what Greg says if you don't quite get it.

C-B-C's Epic - featuring some of the more prominent members of GR... The likes of JCGolfPro, ForgedRBest, Frichissin, Jackamo, and COMING SOON Stl_card and Waz the Wizard (and NOT stagday) unite to aid young Michelle to overthrow the Evil, Fearsome COUNT LEAGUEGOLF ...

Beowulf - fought the fearsome monster Grendel with his bare hands, then slays grendels mother at the bottom of a huge swamp (he swam straight down for hours) Also killed the Fire Dragon when it threatened his people. Oh, and he was modest too... "sure, i lost the swimming match to Brecca, but only after the ocean swept us apart. I swam with him to protect him... I was dragged underneath by a sea monster... by morning all the monsters had decided to sleep on the sand, the surf colored bright red with their blood..."

Wonder Woman - filling out the group with a representative of the female sex.
