Sorry, I can watch any movie, but I cannot EVER get through that "Desperately Seeking Susan" thing.
I was in the military when it came out and we could see it for free. Three times, I fell asleep.
Two times since on tv, I've turned it off.
What in the heck is it about anyway?

Does this mean you are desperately seeking the meaning of Desperately Seeking Susan?
This is not an easy one, as there are so many stinkers out there. But the worst one that comes to mind is Legally Blonde II. The first one was actually decent, but the second one is pure garbage. It is so politically correct, it would make a devout liberal puke. Did we really need to know her dog was GAY? In its attempt at diversity, it has every demographic group represented, and in many cases MISrepresented. The story plays like it was written by a sixth-grader.
Honorable mention goes to some movie Steve Guttenberg wrote and starred in. I (thankfully) forgot the title, but in the film, he was a writer or actor who went beserk on New Year's Eve and tied up a burglar and fed him cat food. Those were the high points of the movie, so I hope I didn't spoil it for anybody!
(PS I looked up the title after I posted...It's called "P.S, Your Cat is Dead". With such a promising title, one would have expected more...(wink)

There are so many terrible ones, I'll go with 2 that were terrible as well as very disappointing, due to high expectations. Star Wars - Episode I (The Phantom Menace ) & Star Wars - Episode II ( The Attack of The Clones). I loved the first 3, but these 2 were just mind-numbingly boring. If I hadn't been with my son I would have bolted within 20 minutes both times. It's got me afraid to see Star Wars - Episode III (Revenge of The Sith), which everyone says is a welcome return to the plot & character-driven first 3.

I'm a Star War fan - not a nut with a costume, but I enjoy the movies. I agree that 1 and 2 should have been "better", but 3 really makes up for it. It comes out next week on dvd, in case you missed the internet version with the time code box on it.
That being said, I can watch almost any movie, for me it's these lame kids cartoons that I abhor. The Dragontales and Beebop(?) and the one with the "gay" purple guy with the triangle on his/her head. Most kids cartoons are okay, but the ones with whinny kids, or creatures that don't even talk. WTH is that?
I've heard really bad things from my friends (big movie buffs) about Belly and Videodrome. In fact, the one guy who owns Belly is trying to get rid of it, but it keeps coming back like in The Mask!

I actually like Belly a lot. I don't think it's a bad movie. Chic flicks in general. . .Bore the snot right out of me. Waiting to Exhale, Fried Green Tomatoes. Great stories probably, but I hate watching movies like these.

Some of them I enjoy. I liked Fried Green Tomatoes. I think Kathy Bates was in it. She's always worth watching... great actress & funny. I must admit I've never made it through Waiting to Exhale, though. I probably should start a thread on tolerable chick flicks... though it might be a short-lived thread on this board.
There was a movie I saw this summer that I promptly told some friends about the next day....the lead-in to my description of it was "dude, I saw the worst movie in history last night...it had nothing resembling a plot and never made any effort to attempt to create one." Now, it's so forgettable that I've even forgotten its name. Maybe it'll pop into my head sometime tonight....
