I record music and use my computer as a sampler (which should be split between two computers), so I probably have the most in terms of disk space, but I haven't loaded my cds yet, so I don't have too many songs. Just some Korn, SOAD, and mostly video game music (Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, MGS...)
FYI, the audio tracks alone for the song "Only", by Nine Inch Nails is about 250 MB. I dl'ed for this remix contest they did.
Not a midwest thing, I have zero too. I use my computer for work and for Golf Rewind! I wouldn't know what to do with music and movie downloads anyway!
Coming close to 1 GB. I don't know how some of you can have so much music... I honestly can't think of anything else to put on here and a lot of this stuff is growing old for me.
Yeah but you're British. That's probably the average CD collection over there, eh?
I dunno, I've heard on the radio that UK people have the most CDs per person, despite the costs being a lot higher than here in North America. You guys really love your music, don't you?
Well I'm not actually British, I'm 100% Canuck, but your point is interesting. Not a fact I've seen before... FWIW I only two or three people with more CDs than me, one of whom runs a nightclub.
I used to play in a band, so my interest in music is a little more voracious than for most.
I have about 6,500 songs on my external hard drive. . .I'm a dj, so it makes sense to have some songs on the computer. Eventually, I'll be able to save the music from work which will put me over 32,000 songs or so. You can never have too much music I say.
I downloaded all my CDs onto my hard drive so I could convert them to MP3 and then load onto the iPod mini I won (never would have bought one, but I'll take a free one!).
Approximately 500 songs, about 1.4 GB on the iPod. Hardly ever use it, and rarely, if ever, do I listen to music while on the computer. I find it distracting while writing code, designing graphics, or even when writing things like this!
