I've gotta remember to do that... waking up at 6 tomorrow, I sure wouldn't appreciate having to wait an hour and a half before I have to go to work. That extra hour of sleep will be precious to me.
...That extra hour of sleep will be precious to me.
I expect to spend the extra hour re-setting all our time-keeping devices. Clocks in living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen (including microwave and oven), cars, wristwatches... I better get to bed early; big day tomorrow.
Last year I was up, as usual, at the 2 am change time, so I went through the house and set all the clocks back. Went to bed an hour or 2 later. Well, my wife got up around 7 am, remembered I had told her about DST the night before, so SHE set the clocks back another hour! Boy were we screwed up for a little while on Sunday. Took a while to figure out why none of the football games were coming on at the right time.
I've never thought about it, but we only have 2 digital clocks in the house - the one on the microwave (which I taught her to set), and the clock on the coffee maker, which always flashes "12:00".
The microwave and the vehicle clocks are my wife's responsibility and I handle the rest. Everything except the old VCR in the guest room..........I've never been able to figure that one out!
Clocks should be changed now if you're in the eastern time zone....do we have to manually change our time zone on GR or does it automatically adjust for daylight savings and standard time switches?
GR is showing me the appropriate time, i.e., current eastern standard time. Being in the midwest (Central time), my time is 1 hour behind the time that GR is showing me.
