OOOOoooooohhhhhhhhh....Not the best thread title, but I'm sure there's worse. Now I agree with the "more than a sport", part, but for different reasons. It's the things that you learn from golf that I appreciate.
The fact that you have to deal with wayward shots.
Responsibility. Don't blame the club - nothing has changed about the club, only the swing, so it's my fault.
Somethings are just out of my control. Weather conditions, landing in a fairway divot, etc...
Adapt to the situation.
Focus. The only shot that matters is this one.
Of course there's a lot more (honesty, integrity, self-control), which are reasons why I want my kids to pick up the game. I could care less if they're good or not, but the qualities you can use in everyday life are what makes it more than a sport to me.
