Yes, we are not the country we are today without the spirited men and women who've served our country in the past and are currently serving our country all over the world. Without you we'd never enjoy the freedom we take so much for granted today! Bless you all!
Let's keep this thread alive today in honor of our veterans! So many have given so much for us to even simply have the freedom to speak our minds on this forum, to say the least!
Thank you veterans, and I personally wish to remember my father, a Korean War U. S. Army Paratrooper Ranger and Bronze Star recipient, and my late husband, also a Korean War U. S. Army Paratrooper Ranger, as well as the legions of others who went before and after them to protect our basic freedoms. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
So, again, please keep this thread alive today and honor our veterans!
Thanks to the many different kinds of sacrifices made by generations of our servicemen and women, we are free to express ourselves on this wonderful information medium, the internet.
We mourn the loss of so many lives of unfulfilled promise, but celebrate their unselfish love of our country and its ideals, their bravery, and their determination in the face of peril. May we always be blessed with citizens willing to make the sacrifices necessary to preserve freedom, peace, and security in the United States of America.
Much respect due to the vets. Honestly, I'm too chickened to face the situations they encounter. Regardless of the politics, the men and women in the service deserve our support and appreciation.
Up here it's Remembrance Day. And may we never forget what these brave men (and women) gave up and continue to give up for our freedom, which all too often we take for granted.
It is a shame they will eventually be forgotten though as the generations progress. We seem to only remember the recent wars, anyone who fought before the 1900s is generally forgotten. A shame, but reality.
