Here it is mid November and I heard the first Christmas song on the radio today....YIKES...Now I love Christmas music, always have. I usually load up the CD player as I am cleaning the dishes from Thanksgiving dinner, then play it until New Years. Love the whole season. But along with hearing the first holiday song my mind turns to what I am going to get everyone? Now I am in panic mode two weeks earlier than usual. I basically know what I want to get my family, but I have questions....
What do you guys know about iPods, PSP(?) players and what the kids are into now a days. My kids already have new sets of clubs and more "golf junk" as they put it, than I think they really know they need I want to get them above mentioned electronics, but wanted to ask to advice of you guys before I make the purchase.
Any info on the iPods and the PSP's would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Ipods are very cool. Kids seem to love them. Don't forget to get more golf junk though, so you can use it.
I don't play many games so I haven't looked into the PSP much. I know the iPod is the "must have" gadget. Personally, if I had to choose (with prices being equal), I'd still go with the iPod nano (in black) over the iPod video. So my pick for best gift would be the iPod nano since it's more inexpensive than the video anyway.
Sorry that I can't help you out with the iPods, but agree about the Christmas music on early...we have one station playing them here...I've always enjoyed hearing on/after Thanksgiving...that's the start of Christmas season as far as I'm concerned. I know retailers feel differently as it's their livelihood. Good luck.
I won an iPod mini a few months ago in some Hilton hotel giveaway I ran across and entered. The iPod is pretty neat, but I rarely use it, as I rarely listen to music except when I'm driving, and half of that time I listen to talk radio!
The iPod mini holds 4 gigs of music, and I have loaded about 300 MP3s on mine and only used 1.25 gigs. So I reckon it will hold nearly 1000 songs. How much more do you need? I can't imagine filling up one of the 20gig or 40 gig iPods!
Anyway, check prices online before buying - go to Pricegrabber.com or use Froogle to find the best deals. And if you are going to order online, do it no later than the second week in December - things start selling out quick and delivery can't always be guaranteed after that!

I can't help out either on the iPods, but agree with golf-a-holic on the early Christmas music have a station here that started playing Christmas music 3 weeks ago on the weekend now it is everyday. Soon they will start playing the day after the Fourth-of-July.

You mean the... Fifth of July? :P
Yeah Christmas season is underway. Bah humbug. I've gotta buy a few gifts and get back on top of all my schoolwork, then write my exams, but after all that is out of the way, I can sit back, kick my feet up, go to a few Christmas parties and open up gifts like when I was 5.
