I would have liked to be with my relatives for Christmas, but I did get a mountain bike. If I had made the trip as usual for Christmas I wouldn't have been given the mountain bike. I have been considering buying one ever since I moved to Salt Lake over 8 years ago. Now I have one hehe!

I just need to get some allen wrenches to finish putting it together and get a pump and helmet. The canyons await, but of course it's the beginning of winter, so I might have to just play around with it in the valley for now.

I didn't have a gift wish, but if I did this might have been it.

I got a bunch of DVDs and CDs, I got my car stereo for my birthday, a bunch of clothes (which I actually, desperately need) and some golf balls, among a few other things.

The one thing I wanted that I didn't get was an iPod or iPod Mini. Oh well, though. I've got tons to be thankful for and Santa got me pretty much everything else on the list.

Our family did not exchange gifts this year. We decided to focus on enjoying family time together with a meal that was prepared with love. Our family pulled together the past couple weeks to ensure that Elizabeth could have as nice a wedding as possible. That was our gift to each other.

Our family had a very nice and quiet time together. We exchanged gifts and had a very nice dinner prepared by my wife and daughter. It couldn't have gotten much better.

That's very sweet and the times with the family will stay with you far longer than the material gifts given would have. I hope you and yours had a marvelous Christmas today.

As for my day, it was, as most Christmases are, all I could have asked for. The gifts I received were mere icing on the cake of spending the day with my family (mom's side in the AM, dad's in the PM) and all the fun that goes along with that. I feel truly blessed that my entire family lives close enough to be able to easily get together each and every year...the only problem becomes that the day is too short, because I never like to see it end!

My Christmas was very special this year. I had a blast with my in-laws on Christmas eve and Scott and I got lots of stuff for our house for Christmas from his family. Christmas day was wonderful waking up in the morning and sitting by our Christmas tree with my husband and giving him his Christmas present and card from me. Then we went to my grandparents and had a wonderful time eating smoked turkey and brisket. This is definately a Christmas I won't forget, especially the picture I snagged of my parents crashed out asleep on the couch after lunch.

Back in Sept, when my Dad was at death's door, my prayer was that he would be with us at Christmas. Not only was he there, he was over the moon that ALL of his decendents (5 kids & significants, 3 grown grands & spouses, 2 little grands, 3 great grands & in-laws from CA) were there! Pop-pop led the festivities and made a little speech about how much we all mean to him. Seeing him revel in the attention he was getting was the best of all Christmas gifts!!!

Of course, watching my darling Lexy, who at 19 mos now knows what a gift is and how to get that wrapping off, enjoy the fun was right up there too!

Oh, and I got lots of framed photos of the angel baby, a gold locket for her hair (first trim), and clothes, my fav Wockenfuss butter creams, etc. etc.
