My first federal election, and I didn't vote. Frankly none of the candidates seemed worthy of my ballot, so I sat home, watched 24 and studied for my Economics test (which took place about an hour and a half ago... and I failed. Luckily we have 3 tests and only the best 2 count towards my mark. )
Hopefully they're not "fiscal conservatives," otherwise Canada's got some red ink to look forward to.
Canada's "fiscal conservatives" aren't likely to encounter much red ink, since they aren't spending much to prosecute the war on terror or to rebuild an entire section of their country devastated by hurricanes.
I can't defend some of President Bush's extravagant spending habits, but he was never much of a "fiscal conservative" to begin with. As a matter of fact, I'd be hard pressed to name a real "fiscal conservative" in Washington, now that Pat Toomey is no longer serving in the House.

It seems like every time the "fiscal conservatives" take power, spending goes through the roof. Mr. Bush has quite literally never met a spending bill he didn't like - he has yet to veto a single one (and is, thus far, the only President this can be said of)...

In the words of Geddy Lee...
"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

Perhaps it would be better for all concerned if we really tried to keep politics off Golf Rewind. I'm sorry for even mentioning President Bush in an earlier post. I was just trying to be humorous--not political.
I have participated in some previous political melees in the Lounge and would prefer not to knock heads with members whom I like the rest of the time but loathe during elections!

Don't forget about rest of us that like you during elections and loathe you the rest of the time!
