A year ago today, at the urging of Forged, I joined Golf Rewind. He said that I would enjoy getting to know the members and might learn tips on how to improve my golf. I had never even visited a forum before and was skeptical that I would spend any of my time here.
I have enjoyed this year so much and feel like I have made some lasting friends. I've thoroughly enjoyed the banter that goes on and the civility in which it is conducted. Golf Rewind made it possible for us to meet and enjoy rounds of golf with frichissin and RainmanP. GR members rallied for us and gave of words of encouragement and support after Katrina, for which I will always be thankful.
Although I will probably never have much to contribute "golf-wise", I have learned that the love of golf can bring people together from all over the world. I now feel that I have some real friends outside the USA and have enjoyed reading and learning their viewpoints.
I want to thank everyone at GR for making me feel like one of the family!
Congratulations PingsRBest...you're a classy lady and we're lucky to have you here! Even if it means we have to deal with that old codger ForgedRBest to keep you around.
Golf Rewind is a better place because you're here. Thank you for your friendly greetings to our new members and for sharing your experiences with us. It's always a pleasure to be in the company of a classy lady!

Also, Pings, I've been meaning to praise you for your career choice. Committed education professionals like you contribute so, so much to society. Much more than you're paid or given credit for, IMHO. Here's to you.
congradulations Pings...I remember reading your posts early on, kinda quiet in nature and then not very long at all knowing you were the better half of forged, stephie is refered to as my Bestest half, and i'm sure if league REALLY owned up to it so are you, you then blasted right in there....you have added so much to this forum, staying here in the bowels of the fun area , jesting back and forth with the best of us, C-B-C,Stag, Waz included. If you never posted again this would be a better place for having known you. It would feel as though a wonderous light had flikered out, but the warmth would live on, bless you m'Lady....you are our true, first lady here.
