Not for me. It really stinks!!! I work in a 40-story building in Mannhattan, and every President's Day, every MLK day, we're the ONLY people here. The commuter trains are empty - every human being on earth except me has off it seems.
This really gets to me bad, but I can't really say anything about it. You know the deal about rocking a boat you're sitting in. But seriously, why do we have to work on President's Day? Nobody else does. It's ********!!!!!

I'll be at work too. I can't kick too much, though. I get 13 holiday days off including MLK day.
We get New Year's, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's garbage. It really gets to me on days like this when people are planning for their long weekend and I'm not...
Prez Day is a paid holiday, but a deadline-driven project will force me to spend some of this weekend working, including Monday. May work at home but office would present fewer distractions. C'est la vie.
I don't get Presidents day off and I am working overtime this weekend. On top of that the Mens club tourney this weekend was cancelled because of the cold, it has been hovering in the upper 20's. To top that off, our power at home has been off since yesterday afternoon. Gotta love the computers at work.

I hope you took the family to work with you so they could keep warm!
The longer I am retired, the more I enjoy being retired. I just DON'T miss the old ratrace that I was in for 35 years. I don't have as much money now as I did when I was working, but I don't have the headaches that went with it, either. Now, I play golf or go flyfishing or whatever else I wish to do when I want to, and not when mine or somebody else's "schedule" allows it. The freedom is nice. Actually, I tend to avoid golfing on the regular holidays, because that's when the golf courses are crowded.
