My sons on the HS golf team. Shoots in the low 80's sometimes in the 70's.
I never new this but I took him to the eye doctor last month for an eye test and he has what is called Dwaynes' Syndrome. It is not curable and effects only one eye. It makes it where his left eye does not rotate to his right ( both eyes go left only one eye goes right ). I would think this dramatically effects his swing. Has anyone heard of this and have any suggestions to what my son can do to see the ball batter. He claims that he see's blurred vision untill his down swing. He loves golf and any help would be appreciated.
seems to me i remember someone who played on the PGA tour that was blind in one eye. I have never heard of your son's syndrome before. but goo dluck and i hope you find someway to improve it.
Get some video tape of how Nicklaus used to cock his head back at the beginning of his backswing on his drives. I don't see any reason why your son can't start his swing with his head cocked with his left eye looking at the ball. That way, his eye will never have to look to the right, he can just keep his head cocked back from the start of his swing. (If he doesn't play lefty)

Thanks Dan. My son and I talked about that after watching the Masters special
on Sunday about Jack. Were going to see if that works.
By the way I attended Ohio State from 1977-81. Many good memories from Papa Joe's to the Thirsy eye. Havn't been back in 20 years wonder what it's like there now. Thanks again.

Unfortunately, Papa Joe's burned down years ago, and most of the bars on high street on south campus are gone. That entire area of high street(Chittenden ghetto area) was developed into apartments, and all of the old bars and hangouts are gone.

The VC and Hineygate still rock though!
