Greetings ....
This is news which is actually a month old - but for whatever reason I only found out about it just this morning (April 29). It may not appear at first to have anything to do with golf -- but just keep reading.
Producer-Director Dan Curtis passed away on Monday March 27 2006, from complications of a brain tumor. He was 78.
Of course, Mr. Curtis was chiefly known as a producer-creator of horror-related productions such as Dark Shadows, The Night Stalker, Trilogy of Terror and the 1974 version of Dracula with Jack Palance.
Curtis was also the guiding force behind the TV Mini-Series "Winds of War" and its sequel "War and Rememerance".
Now For The "Surprise" - That Curtis created "Challenge Golf" for ABC in 1962, then helped launch the Emmy-winning "CBS Golf Classic" in 1964.
WOW! I never knew that! Did any of you?
