Do you have any fears or phobias? Like most people, I don't like spiders, snakes, rodents, bugs, etc. but my main fear is heights.
I can look off a two story balcony and get a sick feeling in my stomach. About 10 years ago we went to the Royal Gorge in Colorado & it took all of my might to walk across that bridge. The gaps between the wood planks made me want to . I have always been afraid of heights--I'm a big wimp.
Another big fear is getting shots at the dr. I hate needles. Just knowing I'm about to get a shot makes me nervous and jumpy. Cleaning the area with the alcohol swob is horrible because I know that the needle stick is next. No matter how "tough" I try to be, I still get a sick feeling.
My 2 fears are flying in airplanes ( which was full thread a couple months ago) and lightening.
I find all of God's creatures a wonder and a joyous opportunity to see. Even the ugly ones.
Needles? Bring them on- makes you tougher.
I fear failure and what i can't kill, ie: the supernatural. I never used to belive in it till i started working in a hospital and have witnessed it first hand.

Just curious as to your referral to the supernatural I would assume ghost or as some would refer to them as sprits? very interesting

That would also be a big fear of mine--I'd probably die of fright if I saw a ghost. My mom swears that her house is haunted...it was built in 1894. I never saw anything while I was growing up, but my mom and step-dad said they did. In high school I would turn my light off, jump on my bed, lay down in the middle of the bed and cover my whole body with my blankets. There was no way I was getting up in the night to go downstairs to use the restroom...I just held it until daylight.
OK, this is ridiculous I know, and my coworkers had a field day with this once I let it slip (even getting me a Tshirt), but...
I have this thing about the winged monkeys in the bellhop uniforms from the Wizard of Oz. Enough so that I won't watch the movie, because I don't even like seeing those things.
Only thing I can think of is they must've scared the bejesus out of me when I was really little or something - 40 years old and I still hate 'em.
My uncle used to say,"I ain't afraid of nothing with hips and shoulders!"
As for me, I can't think of anything that would count as a "phobia" or even a great fear of anything. I've faced death or serious injury in various situations and been scared for my life before. I've even had my own "supernatural" experiences that were frightening, but I wouldn't be afraid to face them again.
The closest I can come is that I fear I'll never really get very good at golf!
Well, I find my self getting nervous when severe thunderstorms roll through the area, I don't mind lightining and such, but I am worried about a tornado.
I also don't enjoy being too high unless I am secure in something. I would never be able to walk on one of those little wooden bridge things that stretch across canyons and things.
I also can't watch shows about ghosts or aliens or things like that because I will get ideas and I don't like hearing ghost stories and things.
Death is another, I am not really afraid of dieing, but just what happens to you after you die.

Isn't that silly..?!?!
Those winged monkeys always gave me the willies too. I don't really have anything I'd call a phobia anymore. I used to have a few. Clowns when I was young. My aunt & uncle used to have a picture of a clown face hanging in a bedroom where they put me down for a nap when I visited. I woke up to see it once and screamed my head off. Bozo had the same effect on me. I still find clowns kind of creepy.
