St. Louis Area

Is everyone from the St. Louis area alright after last night? Man, I thought I was gonna get hammered, had a tornado warning and everything and the heart of the storm was heading right for us, but we barely even got rain. The main part of the storm ended up being just a few miles west of us. Looks to be alot of damage, a few hundred thousand people without power. I even heard that there were a tornado was spotted. Somehow they were able to play baseball at Busch last night, and the Cardinals Won!!! Hopefully no one was hurt seriously last night.

Man, Friday was bad, I just got power and cable back. They still have back hoes and dump trucks cleaning up in my neighborhood. It was pretty bad, trees were down in every yard it seemed like. Huge trees were down, a power pole was leaning at a 45* angle in my neighbors backyard. They had the Highway closed down outside of my house due to large trees and power lines down. My car had a big tree branch through the back window. Houses had trees sticking out of them. It wasn't a tornado, but it had to have been close with al the downed trees and damage.

I keep seeing more pictures and it was pretty bad that is for sure.

We went thru that hail storm a month or so back and it was also devistating! I hope everything is okay and you are back to some normality!

I'm looking forward to playing St. Albans in a couple of weeks. I'm in St. Louis on business and got an invitation just too good to turn down. That's supposed to be in great shape I hear.

So glad to hear that you are safe! I'm very familiar with the destruction a bad storm can leave behind.

I'm sure you are. I'm guessing you are talking about Katrina. That would be an experience I wouldn't want to live through. I also think that the storm here wasn't as bad as it appeared, we just haven't had many bad storms so all the trees grew up and stuff.

There are still 46,000 houses without power as of today.
