(Aug 7th, 2006 with Minn. Twins Joe Mauer on cover) on about page three in the Leading Off section there is a paragraph about the Evian Masters tournament (an LPGA event) held in Evian France in July. Featured along with the article were photos of Paula Creamer, Karrie Webb of Australia and Michelle Wie. All three women pictured were mentioned in the article along with Laura Davies. However, a pic of Ms. Davies was not included. My question is this: Do you think the SI photo editors purposely omitted her pic and are these the same guys that choose the photos for the Swim Suit issue? I ask this because Karrie Webb was the champion and Wie and Davies tied for second while Miss Creamer finished 7th. (Results at the link below)
Don't get me wrong, I personally do not have a problem with the selection of the photos...after all, the three pictured are a lot easier on the eyes IMHO than Laura Davies

Someone is always looking for a conspiracy. I invest my time wisely in looking for my putting stroke, which has hidden behind the moon.

It was probably a calculated move. I'm a happily married man (old man at that) but there's no doubt in my mind I'd pick up a magazine with Paula Creamer's picture on it before I'd pick up one with Laura Davies' picture...and I follow golf! It's all about circulation. Constricting the circulation of it's male readers increases SI's magazine circulation (if you catch my drift.)
