Jon Stewart's contract with Comedy Central is up next year and I've read that NBC is pursuing him. If they sign him, they would have him take Conan O'Briens spot and keep Jay Leno at the Tonight Show. I think it was just last year that Conan O'Brien signed a contract to take over the Tonight Show in a couple of years. NBC would pay him off.

I'm a big Daily Show fan and I also enjoy Conan O'Brien. I think the best lineup would be Conan with the Tonight Show and then Jon Stewart to follow. I think NBC wants to keep Leno because they're still making a lot of money with him as host. I like David Letterman better than Leno.

How about the rest of you? Which late night shows do you watch and who are your favorite hosts?

I like the Letterman show better than the Tonight Show...can't stand Leno and don't particularly care for Letterman or Conan (Conan just makes me nervous for some reason)...but I really do like Jon Stewart and he'd be a breath of fresh air on the late night scene.

I'm a big fan of Jon Stewart but I wonder what moving to a big network like NBC or CBS would do for him? Most of those late night talk shows are different from The Daily Show and I wonder if he would still be able to do what made him successful in the first place.

I say ditch Leno and Conan and have The Tonight Show with Jon Stewart and Late Night with Steve Colbert.

I like Leno and Conan too though. Conan is supposed to take over for leno in like 2010 or 2012 I think, so its still a little ways away. I dont see them gettin Stewart over there to replace Conan as I think NBC sees him as the future.

I cant stand Carson Daly, his show isnt even funny. Id rather watch a rerun of something than that ****.

Yeah, Carson Daly isn't funny at all. Well, I wouldn't know because I haven't ever really watched.

An NBC line up with Jon Stewart and Colbert to follow would be hilarious. Won't happen, though.

Normally I watch Leno on Monday Nights for the headlines. The rest of the week I divide my time between Leno, Letterman, or Nightline depending on what or who's on. At 2 am I watch the Leno re-run. I can't stand Conan. I watch Jimmy Kimmel at that hour.
