A kayaker and a great white shark

Urban Legends Reference Pages: The Follower

Isn't there some kind of saying that says the shark is probably more afraid of the kayaker than vice versa?

Re: A kayaker and a great white shark

That saying sure doesn't apply to me...lakes and rivers only for my kayak.

If I was in the kayak, I could assure you, I would be more afraid than the shark would.
Pictures like that remind me why I do not go into the sea.

Re: A kayaker and a great white shark

Yikes!!! I only kayak in the ocean (well, sometimes lakes or big rivers) - I'm deathly afraid of white water kayaking (those rocks, those fallen trees, those whirlpools . . . . ). However, after seeing this picture, I may have to revise my feelings!

I have been totally scoped out by a grey whale (who was about 25 feet to my 17) - but I wasn't afraid of it doing anything to me except by total accident. That was a really awesome moment.
