Re: TIGER 08

Any chance that Gulbis and Creamer will be playing in bikini's??

I just got 08 on ebay this weekend, so I haven't played it yet, but I like the GameFace concept..if it works properly.

I agree that some of those dumb game modes need to go away, and they need to add more tour stops for the courses. Torrey Pines, Winged Foot, bring back Bethpage Black, East Lake, Southern Hills, Medinah..those would be fun courses. Augusta would be nice, but we all know it won't happen.

Re: TIGER 08

I played it a little for PS2 and I can already tell it's a waste of money. First off, the PS2 version is horrible... EA Sports puts most of the effort of the game into the X360 and PS3 versions.

The game play is ridiculous. I have to hold down the right analog stick for trajectory, rapidly tap the "X" for power up, and then swing the left analog stick to swing. I have two words for you: &*#$ that.

Also, the game is boring. I wanted to unlock Villegas because I wanted to see if he's realistic. I had to play matches against Pops Masterson and watch his stupid swing make bogey on every hole, then play some sort of long drive competition that was like a 3-hole matchplay or something... it all ******. It wasn't even fun to do.

Re: TIGER 08

Yeah. Come on... some old man who swings his woods all arms and then his irons like a pro... A sumo guy, a Sopranos-like character, (I do like that Von Severin chick, though!), the matches against them aren't even fun. They bogey every hole and the match takes forever. The only matches I liked were the few against the tour pros. All the other competitions, putt-offs and stuff are super duper ***.

Re: TIGER 08

I got it. It seems harder than 07, couldn't get the picture thing to work for my player tho. Using the analog stick for the swing Is allot harder all I would do is slice. other than that i like it.

Re: TIGER 08

Has anyone used the photo thing on X-box 360? I'm having a lot of trouble with it working and it gets fustrating even when the video about it makes it so easy. It tells you to move the makers using the directional pad but they don't move. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also why is the swing more difficult than o7?

Looks like I'll never buy another copy.
You have to get the PC version and then download those courses that the user make. I have the 06 version and have over 100 courses to play on. Obviously, some are better than others, but there is one guy who does Augusta every year and he has got it down to an art. It is gorgeous.

You can use either the D-pad for fine tuning, or the left-thumbstick for moving them quickly.

I set up the game face feature, and for the most part it looks ok, not great, but not bad either. The main issue I had was the lighting the picture was taken in. The computer/xbox interpreted my eyes and eye-sockets as being too dark, and the final result looks like I have *heavy* eyeliner on. I'll retake the photo whenever I get the time, and try again.

PS: It really does take 10-20 minutes to render the photo, so make sure you're not in a rush.
