does anybody know if its actually hard? In '05 and '06 I've shot 41. I wish there was more of a challenge...

It seemed like 07 was harder than 05 or 06.

The game itself needs a revamping. I hated playing those stupid matches against Old Tom Morris where he'd shoot +5 and I'd shoot -8.

Hot Shots 5 is coming out for PS3. That's my favorite golf series. My friend and I have been sitting around playing that game and drinking a few beers since college... from the first one for PS1.

play tiger on tour dificulty it wont b so easy then

Yeah no kidding. I have my guy maxed out and tour Tiger still gives me fits winning most of the time.

As much as I like TW PGA Tour for PS2 I've decided I won't buy another copy until they do some of the following:

A) Get rid of the gimicky courses (ala Highlands, Paradise Cove, etc.)
B) Get rid of the stupid contests (i.e. Targetzone stuff)
C) Make it more realistic!! In 06 I won every tournament during the 1st season with an average score of 17 under per round. The second season I repeated the feat with Tour Difficulty albiet with a higher per round score. Possibly the bigger BS part of the game is the number of guys that tie for 2nd through 20th and their scores relative to par. Guys shooting 62,62,62, 58 would win any tournament. Hitting it into the rough isn't a penalty even with Tour Difficulty (once you've played it a few times) and bunker shots are no less a joke.

AND last but not least...and this one isn't negotiable:

Add Augusta National.

Looks like I'll never buy another copy.

Augusta wont allow them, Plus tour difficulty is barely harder, I still shoot low 50's and high 40's when its on...

I won every event. Beat all the legends...and everyone else. Average drive is 340. Hold every record. Eagled every hole. Now it just collects dust...

Pretty much the same here. I'll get it out every few months and play a few rounds just for fun...in my opinion they need to quit worrying about the cosmetics and make it more difficult. In 04 or 05 they expanded on it a little with the ability to purchase all sorts of equipment...but once you own everything the money and trophies just pile up and it gets pretty old.

It'd be nice if Tiger and/or the PGA TOUR could get permission to use every course played in a traditional TOUR schedule (realizing the Augusta is likely out of the quesion) and make the schedule more true to life. No more tournaments with four rounds spread out all over the world.

i havent played it since 05 i think...do the newer games allow you to play with current tour pros?...and if so which ones?

dont buy this game, its no different than any other tiger woods game... you are already qualified for fedex cup, there are no majors, it blows chunks... (for ps2 at least)

Too late for me. I already bought it but haven't opened it yet. I know it has flaws but all in all it's a good time. Fun to play while kickin back having a few cold ones.
