Angry Gas prices are killing me!

gas prices are truly ridiculous these days. does anyone have any insight as to whether there is any end in sight to the rising prices? when it hit $2, i didn't think it would go much higher but now it's at $2.50. there was talk about $3 per gallon but i just dismissed it. now i'm beginning to fear it may actually be possible.

I think I paid $2.469 for premium yesterday. You know, the 9/10 of a cent never used to bother me much before but with gasoline prices at these levels, it would sure be great if they just got rid of it.

This article discusses how gasoline prices have hit a record high of $2.023 per gallon. This price is $0.53 more than a year ago!

It looks like oil production is going to increase but it may be a while before we see any benefits at the pump.

wouldn't you think they'd round up 1/10 of a cent instead of rounding down 9/10? :D

I live in Chicago and I found this Web site which lists the lowest and the highest gas prices at local area gas stations.

http://www.chicagogasprices.com/

Maybe there's a similar site for your area.

You should see the prices in the UK, we are really getting hammered now. Fuel protests are looking more and more likely.

LOL. Could you drive back when it was in the high 40's/low 50's? Here in Hawaii, the lowest I ever remembered regular unleaded gasoline was at $1.39 per gallon. I don't know how that translates into liters. Now, regular unleaded gasoline is around $2.20 - $2.25 per gallon.

I'm 62 and can remember when it was $.25 U.S./ gallon. Where abouts are you in Canada? I play golf in Ariziona in the Winter with a group from Calgary, Edmonton and various places in Quebec. I'm waiting to hear from them and if they are coming down to the States next winter. Fuel costs may keep them at home.

Nah Victory I couldnt drive back when it was in that price range... but we lived near the gas station, so i remember quite well :)

Tom, I am from Saskatchewan. I live in a little community about 10 minutes out of saskatoon. And yeah, fuel prices are way too high, the only way I will be taking any road trips is if i can get a real efficient vehicle... dont like volkswagon a whole lot though so we will see :)

Well, looks like gas prices may be headed even further. I thought things were getting better with Saudi Arabia pledging to up production and OPEC doing the same. Now, after the attacks in Saudi Arabia, it looks like there are more fears that will drive oil prices up further. Sigh.
