Much like long drive competitions in golf - fun to watch. But could ESPN drag it out any longer? A commercial break between each person's at bat.

However, unlike the long drive competition, the longest home run doesn't win anything. I think they should award two trophies, one for the most home runs, and one for the longest home run.

I'm not a great baseball fan - love those Yankees - but there's something about the raw power these guys generate.

With that said which of the BIG GUNS wins? Bonds?, Sosa?, Thome?, no - a SHORTSTOP wins the thing!

leaguegolf: Although I root for the Yankees, I don't get upset when they lose - guess I'm not a diehard fan, I just grew up in the Mickey Mantle era and it carried over.

I was just having a little fun GenErr. Mickey has always been a favorite of mine too. Actually the reason we're going is to see the Yankees, but the hot dogs, cokes, and peanuts always taste better when the home team wins.
