I was just back there a few weeks ago, in Tuckerton. I played at Sea Oaks, the Four Seasons course. Nice club, and in great shape.

Hyatt Hills isn't too bad at twilight rates $22 +/- after work for me, but for the weekend I need to play an 18 hole course.

I'm from Middlesex County - haven't played Tamarack or Ashbrook in a few years, my after-work 9-hole league plays at Bunker Hill, Mattawang, and Quaibrook.

Once every few weeks I get invited to join a group of "scramble players" at Hanover GC which is close to Jackson. Its not a bad track and the price is OK.

I did get to Rutgers about 5-6 weeks ago and it was in very good shape.

When all else fails I go to the Plainfield West 9, which by the way has the best greens in the area - just my humble opinion.

Re: anyone from new jersey?

Also from Union County - in Garwood.

Zenkar - there is a pretty good 9-hole course in Scotch Plains called Scotch Hills CC. It's pretty challenging - hilly and narrow. On the weekends it's $28 but you can play all day, as much as you want. I went out a couple of weeks ago and played 18 holes in the morning then left for lunch and ran some errands and then went back in the late afternoon and played another 9 holes. For $28 it's not that bad. It's obviously cheaper during the weekdays but don't know the prices off hand. I like the course alot. Helps you hit straight because it's narrow!

Re: anyone from new jersey?

ya I pay around 24$ for all day at the union county courses.. cheaper weekdays. you can play as much as you want as well.. I played that scotch plains 9 hole a few times.. its where I first started playing actually. I rememeber that 2nd hole is very narrow off the tee
