Re: Golf Upstate NY

I'm outside of binghamton, ny. I don't know if you consider that upstate or not. conditions are pretty good here, as long as we don't get flooded again this year.

Re: Golf Upstate NY

My family has a summer house in the Catskills and I am playing some courses there on the mountain. Has anyone played up there? I will be there on the 4th of July....

Hudson Valley conditions are fantastic right now, exceptional for this time of year.

Re: Golf Upstate NY

Try Balckhead Mountain. Played in a tourney there last fall and had a great round. Great views of the Catskill Mtn range as well.

Re: Golf Upstate NY

I'm here in Rochester and belong to Ridgemont Country Club, Rochester, NY it's a nice private course, not too pricey. We have some big name courses here like Oak Hill where some of the PGA tournaments are held as well as Locust Hill where the Wegmans LPGA is held every year.

A few ytears ago my kids were really into golf so I decided that if I was ever going to join a private club, now would be the time. It's amazing the difference a couple years makes. Now my son is turning 18 and my daughter 16 and neither has picked up a club yet this year. They have too many other interests. It's going to kill me, but I really can't justify the expense of a private club for just me. My wife used to play when we were single and just married but after we had kids she decided that anything that resembled fun was for other people.
