Galena, IL The General at Eagle Ridge. It's like 4 miles from my house and I used to work there, but it's the only course i've played that made golf digest's 100 greatest public courses list. (until the end of august when i'm going to the tpc Deere run)

Boston area. A tie between Pole Creek in Winter Park, CO, and Fossil Trace in Golden, CO.

It's not out of state, but California is a big state.

While on vacation, I golfed at Sierra Star, which is located in Mammoth high in the Sierras. There are beautiful vistas along the course.

Fortunate to play Kapalua Plantation Course in Maui this past May.

Closer to home, and it's a diffilcult choice, Peninsula in Gulf Shores, AL.

I'm from California. I'd have to say Dubai, UAE. and many great courses when I was in School on the east coast. I'd love to golf Hawaii some day

Hello! I am in Kansas City, Missouri and the best golf course is at the Lodge of 4 Seasons at the Lake of the Ozarks in the middle of Missouri!

from new jersey and so far the only course ive been on out of state was Pheasant Run Golf Resort in Illinois

I'm in Boulder, CO. One of my favorites was Wolf Creek in Mesquite, NV. I also really like Princeville, in Kauai, HI.

Oklahoma (100 years of statehood today). The Blue Monster at Doral in Miami.

The best out of state course that I play is in Ohio...not because of the course itself, but because I try to play 18 every time we go to visit the mother-in-law.

The course isn't too bad either...a 27 hole muni in Fremont, Ohio, Sycamore Hills, an easier layout but nicely kept, which is fine with me, and they are open late into the fall so that I can play again this weekend when I go to visit!

From WV. The best courses out of state that I have played would be Cooks Creek in Circleville OH, The Legends (Parkland), Myrtle Beach SC, and I really love Eagle Ridge in Yatesville KY.

For me its both out of Shire & out of Country

So I live in Staffordshire & a trip to Gwynedd In North Wales provided the most astonishing course I've seen & played

And We're going back again this October to play Nefyn again on a day ticket. after a day at the also excellent Royal St David's at Harlech. Our golfing party has doubled in size for this years expedition.

btw, their food is some of the best I've had in any clubhouse.
