Golfing In Virginia

I need some help, I did not make my trip this month down to Myrtle Beach.
I am thinking about heading down to Virginia to play, does anyone know some nice places to play & where to stay?????

I am looking to spend about $400 US per person for 3-4 days.

Thanks
Grant

Williamsburg has some nice courses.

I'm planning a golf outing using these guys: http://www.golfguideinc.com

You end up with a hotel stay and several different courses as opposed to a stay and play option. At $400 for 3-4 days, that might be your best bet.

Williamsburg is great.

I have played Kingsmill (River, Woods, Plantation), Golden Horseshoe (Gold, Green), Royal New Kent, and Stonehouse, and all are excellent courses.

There are other things to do, including checking out colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.

Re: Golfing In Virginia

I look forward to playing Williamsburg when I get a few rounds under my belt. But for the time being I will play Deer Park/Kiln Creek in Newport News, VA.

P.S. - I know this an old thread, but there doesn't seem to be a lot in here

Williamsburg is great, the best for sure, but the Hampton Roads area has some nice courses:

Herons Ridge
West Neck
VB National (6 months ago this was a TPC course)
River Club
Sleepy Hole (love this value course)
and the Arnie and Jack design courses on the Eastern Shore
