I just moved to Peoria IL, I don't know many of the courses so I just bought a park pass. It gives me 5 courses for the season. I usually stick to Kellog GC so far though.

i played up at madison golf course in peoria...really nice course....alot of trees if you miss the fairway...its a really short course...a couple par 4's around 250 yards
I haven't played Madison yet but it is on my pass. It's a really short course though. They usually hold Jr tournies on it. I love Kellog and I liked Donovan when I played it but the weather was bad so I'll have to try it when it's good. I'm going to try out Newman this weekend for the first time. I heard it's challenging.
I think I've heard of the Elks before but I'm trying to finish up my degree so I'm trying to keep my golf reasonable right now. In a couple years I'll be in the position to splurge a little more. For now my parks pass has been great. It has already paid for itself and it's not even halfway through the season.
PS. I enjoy IL for now but look forward to moving somewhere I can golf year around.
I played Newman this weekend. It was a nice course. Narrow and if you went into trouble it wan't very forgiving. The greens were well kept though. I'm going to try to get a round in at the Elks before I leave.
