My Ping G2 Anser is a favorite. Recently bought an Odyssey White Steel #1 that is very similar, as I wanted to try an offset. I haven't played it enough yet to know, but I believe it might be a worthy challenger to the Ping.
[quote=BillyBogey5]Anyone here ever play the Ping G2 Tess model?
I'm a fairly good putter, and am not looking for easy "help" with those oversized monster putters.
I like a good competitive challenge and am thinking this might be the test of all tests for my putting style.

I have used most of the heel shafted Pings and especially like this one, on fast greens. Another one of my favorites is the J Blade. Kinda clunky looking, but great feeling and it rolls the ball well.
Love the Ping I added to the bag this year. Its a Ping G2i B60. Blade style and great feel around the greens. Its very good from the fringe where I would usually chip with the 7 iron. Ping has the best putters bar none!
I am now using a brand new Ping G5i, B60, 34 inch putter. I find it super easy to aim and my golfing buddies have been amazed at how many more long putts I have been sinking. It has the blue insert, and has a sweet sound and feel and I seem to be able to judge my speed with it very well. I have always favored the Anser style putter, and have several different brands in that style, but the B60 has a bit more mallet style head to it, and I find it stays on course during the stroke a bit better. It's a keeper. My other favorite is a Louisville golf TC-1 Anser style with the persimmon insert. That is a super feeling putter also, and I am torn between it and the Ping. I have a half dozen others, but these two are keepers. But I might be a bit more accurate with the Ping.
got a pristine BeCu Ping Pal 4 from the 70's/80's the other day. . . love it. I think these are very underrated. You can buy a Scotty or Bettinardi for a bunch of dough, but they won't really be better than pings, in my opinion. I've test-putted almost every blade putter out there (don't like mallet types--they just confuse me too much) and this one is hands down the most accurate (for me) i've used. That said, I really liked the Yes putters.
I have an old bronze Ping Kushin, it is a fantastic putter. Putts true with a great sound! It has made me a Ping putter fan!
I have an old bronze blade style that really makes a nice"PING" sound and rolls true on fast greens. I like the black and gold leather wrap grip and the fact that is 2" shorter than my 'Goose'. It doesn't say ping on it. but the PGC and number stamp may be Ping. Other golfers say it Soundz lke a Ping!!
I have been using a new Ping G5i B60, left handed 34 inch putter for several months now. It is easy to aim and has a nice, soft feel to it. I find that I can control my ball speed very well with it. It has a bit more of a mallet type head than my Anser style putters that I have been using for many years. It has been a good addition to my bag.
