Myrtle Meltdown!

Just got back from our usual North Myrtle Beach trip. Played 4 days of golf and did not break 80 any day! It was a major letdown considering how good I was hitting the ball before I left.

Got to play some nice courses though which included Moreland Course at Legends, Lions Paw, and Tidewater.

If you're looking for a challenge in Myrtle go play any of the Legends courses, they will eat you alive!

Lions Paw was just a nice average course.

Tidewater is just incredible and has been called the Pebble Beach of the Southeast. It is the most beautiful course I've every played on and not a bad price either at 79 bucks.

So if you're heading down that way I recommend Tidewater! The course was in OK shape, greens a little bumpy, fairways had some places in them, but the overall look and feel of the course is amazing. Some very beautiful holes.

I've heard a lot of good things about Tidewater. I'm headed back to Myrtle in Aug. and Tidewater is a must play this trip.

I've also heard Grande Dunes from some of the others in my group is a great course. Only thing with the Dunes is that its 110 dollars. For Tidewater its 94, but if you call to make tee times the day of or day in advance its only 79. Like I said, with Tidewater the greens could have definitely been better in a lot of spots, and the fairways could be cut better, but as far as experience and scenery I've not played a better course. I wish I had taken my digital camera (like I meant too but forgot it!)

I'm headed down Sun/Mon am playing Wild Wing and Kings North. Maybe I can bribe my wife into letting me play a third day, and try Tidewater.
