I have to recommend, if they are open (they close for the winter, i'm not sure when you are going) try Painter's Ice Cream, the best ice cream on earth. There are also two great golf shops also on HWY 17 to shop at: Martin's PGA superstore and Golf Dimension's will both give you some great deals. Hope this helped a bit, i'm sure you'll have fun.
I'll concur...Either Tidewater or one of the Barefoot Landing courses are the best courses I've played at Myrtle and I've been going there every year for the past 16 or so years. Tidewater not so much because of the course which is still very very nice, but as said in the quote above the view is AMAZING! Definitely take your camera! We can actually see our condo from that view as we only stay about a mile from there every year. Just had to give a second vote for Tidewater. Take note that I have not played the Dunes which is also suppose to be awesome...we stay to far away to drive there.

Ok EDS,

We are playing:

Pine Lakes International
Wicketstick
Myrtlewood Palmetto (so all of us drunks can get there in the morning easily)

Any comments on these? Decent courses for not having to go to far from the villas?

Hey Dormie, those 3 courses are decent good courses, they are not premium courses, but they are good for the price and location. Your party will definitely have a blast! Have fun

There are some SERIOUS hackers in our group (hopefully none of them are lurking guests on here) so I think it's best we keep OFF the Premiums this time!

Only one that I have played is Wicked Stick and that was about 6 years or so ago I think. Was fairly new at the time and we didn't enjoy it, but maybe it's better. Good Luck
