It is fun to play some famous golf holes, but remember that the greens are not augusta and the turf is not augusta. You are playing copycat holes that are as good as one could build, given the weather and volume of play at Myrtle.
All things considered, it is still a good course to play. A friend of mine eagled Augusta's Par 5. I found the creek to the left. At the time, the creek in front of the green was dry (due to no rain), but we didn't know, so it was still special.

Most courses in Myrtle Beach will double-tee their tee-time sheet, they will fit more players in 1 day, therefore more revenue.
