Ah ok I didnt realize it was that bad down there. I however dont think thatd stop me. I practice out back right through the winter with my wedges. I use a colored ball and work on what would be a sand shot and the sort due to the soft fluffy feel of the snow.
I went to the range today and it was covered with a 2 inch sheet of solid slick ice. I teed one up and hit a 500 yard drive -- at least that's when I lost sight of it. It might still be rolling -- like that trick shot that Don Johnson's character pulled on Kevin Costner's character in the movie, Tin Cup.
Actually, I stayed inside all day bundled up trying to stay warm in this unseasonably cold Oklahoma weather (10 degrees forcast low tonight).

I'm with you, brother. It is supposed to be single digits here tonight. I think I'll drag the PS2 out and play some Tiger Woods golf. I had to stop at the market on the way home and the wind just about cut me in two pieces. I am gonna stay on the couch for at least the next couple of days.
This weather really *****, but at least it is gone. We have a couple of inches of ice on the ground, some of our trees have fallen (on the neighbors camper) but we have been fortunate to have our power on.

Reason: reread the language policy, bub.

I wish the underlined statement were true, but as of today, we are looking at another blast of cold weather and snow. They are now predicting up to 12 inches for Northwest Arkansas... Yuck!!! This is the longest layoff I have had in 6 years of playing golf. By the end of this weekend, it will be two weeks..AAAAAArrrrrrgggggggg!!!!!!!

I just heard that also. Its a big shock, we have all of this and now they are saying we are getting more. When will it stop.
I just played here in Houston for the first time in about a week because of a freeze. I played in unusually cold temperature, though- 45 degrees and raining. Sorry if thats warm for those guys up north, but here they closed schools for a day just because we had a little ice- not even on the road, but on the plants! I guess it's because nobody knows how to drive on ice and they were playing it safe (I'm not complaining, though).
I can attest to that you Texans cant drive in anything other then perfect conditions. When I went down I went to the Dallas/fortworth area and when it rained I seen some of you guys having trouble in the rain let alone on ice. I seen a couple SPIN OUT in the rain. Id love if you Texans would come up during our winters. You wouldnt know how to drive straight You guys are also crazy down there packed highway and you all want to do 90 when the traffic is stop and go pretty much!!! For you guys down there they should put bumpers on all 6 sides of your cars that way you just bounce off what you hit. It was heck to get around down there as you all have a lot more accidents down there. Also a hint to anyone who goes down south do NOT take a heavy duty diesel truck down (f250 diesel in particular we were drivin the amarillo package). We were trying to follow my oldest brothers wife around and she was in a car and was swervin round and we were tryin to follow in the big ole truck. We had to get on the brakes quite a few times pretty hard and that big ole thing was strugglin to get slowed down. Definitly not safe down there. Guess to get anywhere you need to learn the backroads. Oh also to warn anyone who goes down, you need a tour guide to figure out how to get anywhere you get lost very easy down there. I actually heard that the gentleman who made the highway system down there was a rollercoaster maker before that really shows.
Erm sorry for the rant haha quite passionate about Texas. Plan on movin there for college but man its a scary place.
Oh yea anyone else find snow isnt too bad to work on your bunker play, easy to adjust I worked on hard sand lies and soft fluffy like this fun too.
Northeast, about an hour from Tulsa. I was in at Walmart today, it was totaly crazy, people are stocking up for the up-coming storm. We are lucky we still have power, there have been power outages across the state.

Have you played Peoria Ridge??? We played it last year in the late fall.. Nice.
Yea, its nice, pretty challenging also. I don't live to far away from that course, probably about 10-15 minutes.
I'll let you know on here when we are gonna come up and play it again. Maybe you could join us.
On the y weather.... We dodged a bullet and didn't get the really bad weather they had predicted. Something about the warm southern airflow not getting cut off by the approaching front from the northwest.. I don't really care one way or the other as long as we get to play golf by Monday afternoon. Even if it is soggy, I am playing!
