Going to Myrtle Beach in mid Feb, I believe? Think just like a 4 day weekend. Reason I say think is it depends on a few things. First, weather? I know it can be cold. Second, we want to get one of the cheap stay thingies. Not sure if we can. Really, I'm looking to wait untill about a week before, then see what the long range weather says. Just looking for some input as to if this is feasable, and if some here have done it? Not really looking for the top courses, but not the dumps either. It will be 2 couples, and our wives don't golf.

Weatherwise, it's been fairly moderate down there this year. Within the past week or so, it's been all the way up into the 70's, but then the next day it was in the low 50's. There's usually isolated showers here and there just about everyday, but usually nothing that will put an end to your golf day. I'd say bring more long-sleeves than short, but do bring some short sleeves in case you get a nice day in the high 60's. I'm not much help on the package stay deals, but a couple of the other guys round here are. I'll be down there from the 1st-12th of Feb. I've got my eye on the weather too. Have fun.

I went last February just to kill a few days. Since the weather was cold, I wasn't expecting to play so didn't take my clubs. After a couple of days moping around, my wife told me to go buy some new clubs. During this time of year, you can find some really great deals on closeouts at the golf shops there.

The condos where we were staying had a golf concierge. He got me on at the last minute at Waterway Hills for a good rate. It was 36* and windy when we teed off. Didn't get to play again that week because it poured rain the rest of the week.
