Value in Atlanta area

Going to Final Four last weekend in March. Where should I play? I'd be looking for a few value courses (decent price/nice quality) and maybe one day of "must play" pricy course as a treat. TIA

Last October I was in Atlanta for a conference and played at the following courses:

Creekside Golf and Country Club, Hiram GA. I wanted to play at The Frog which was nearby, but they had a comp on so suggested this place. Got to this URL for a write up I did:

Also, I played at Stone Mountain. There are two courses there, both in very good condition and very enjoyable. Again, here is a write up I did:

You will need a car to get to both. If you do not have your own car, I believe there are courses within the city that are good, but I would have to defer to someone who lives locally.

If you can, play at least one of the Stone Mountain courses. Bradshaw Farms is also a definite "must play" course. For the money, it absolutely can't be beat.
*edit*
Also, about a week before you go to Atlanta, hit http://www.ezlinks.com to see what kind of deals they have left on courses in the area. There are lots of courses I couldn't afford to play if I didn't know about that website.

You might try Wolf Creek. It's about 6 miles due west of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Its a good course and especially if you are staying in accommodations nearby (i.e. the airport). Website is at www.wolfcreekgc.com. I think that the greens fees are about $40 per golfer during the week and only a little higher on weekends. Fairways are tight and long. Its scenic though and a good test for most guys anyway.

Some of those courses are a good ways away so if you don't mind driving you'll be fine, Frog and Bradshaw is kinda far in my opinion (45mins). Stone Mountain is a great golf experience as you get to see this massive all granite mountain all around you. Decent price around $65. For your memorable experience I'd recommend Bear's Best in Suwanee. It has Jack's memorable holes from all his courses around the world, and most first timers get a fore caddie who will explain the hole, give you tips, find your ball etc. There are a ton of great courses, I'd recommend googling golf atlanta and you can see them based on location.

Yeah...but that is more of a practice thing...I would buy a house right across the street if I could...driving range, putting greens cut fast with slope and undulations, chipping green with some space to really put a swing on the ball, big bunker area with good sand not mud inside and a high face to make you honestly get it out and a full floodlight 18 hole par 3 open till 11 on weeknights during the summer...5-11 all you can play for $18 when I lived there...a little slice of heaven in Gwinett...

Last jack and then I'm out...Norcross, just across the line from Tucker and up the road from Heritage...2 min from 85 off Jimmy Carter...I love that area and used to shoot up to the Golfsmith all the time...
