Ja, well, no fine it just has to be the All Blacks especially with their undefeated rugby world cup record! Just read the papers on Sunday.

Shows how bad the Lions were! England have pulverised the South Africans over the last three years and now they can beat the All Blacks.

Love it Lefty, always giving credit where credit's due!

Rankings:

NZ 1
SA 2
Aus 3

Need I say more?

Interestingly, we haven't had an England side out here after a long season for some time - is it fear?

Just to keep the record straight:

SA v. England Played 24
Won 12
Lost 11
Drew 1

SA v. British Isles (Lions)
Played 40
Won 21
Lost 13
Drew 6

To keep Kiwidave happy! If that's possible this week)
SA v. NZ (the only ones that really count) (NZ Cavaliers - Andy Dalton's side)
Played 67 (4)
Won 29 (3)
Lost 35 (1)
Drew 3 (0)

Somewhere Lefty said he was trying to teach the Americans about rugby:

This should help:

1968 - President Bush plays for Yale Rugby team

www.rugbyfootballhistory.com
(historical rugby milestones)

It also tells one why Americans stopped playing - Theodore Roosevelt thought it was too rough for them and threatened to ban the game by presidential edict in 1905!!

Have the South Africans beaten England in the last five years?
When did they last beat the Lions?

Love the way you live in the past - is your last round of golf an indicator of the future?
BTW -the answers yes 18-13 Pretoria 2000 England tour to SA.

England couldn't even beat Wales this year!

That's how bad they are. I've got another tenner on the England v. SA game at the end of the year - you can set it off against the one you're going to owe me!

So South Africa last beat England in 2000 , (and the Lions in 1980), but you posted saying they have won more games.

And I live in the past?

You should since all your geriatrics have now moved on!

Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio, Mike Catt (!! for heaven sake), Guscott, Cohen, Healey, and the beat goes on.Little Johnny is also, alas, a mere shadow of his former self.

Your living only in the recent past is typical one-eyed pommie selective memory, showing no appreciation of the bigger picture. You've had a good run but at 6th in the world rankings it may be time to take a lower profile.

Understandably you don't want to really get into history since its so darn embarrassing!

I had a good friend from high school who went on to play rugby for the united states military academy @ west point, but that's all I know about the sport!
