Huggins had always run a shoddy program, so it's not surprising to see him end up gone. Winning basketball games is nice, but I don't think I've ever seen Cincy's graduation rate for hoops players above 0%. Hopefully someone can go in there and turn the program around...both on the court and in the classroom. :nodsmiley

If you listen to Huggy he'll tell you he's graduated 11 of his last 17. Then again when you have basket weaving as a viable major...
I wander if ol Bob is hittin the bars hard tonight.

The graduation rates of Division 1 NCAA college basketball teams?
The graduation rates of Division 1 NCAA college basketball teams?
Exactly. Not many programs graduate more than 50%...you'd think that because there are only about 60 new jobs in the NBA every year, they'd really push these guys to take things seriously, but I guess not. The schools, the coaches, and the NCAA are seriously misleading these youngsters.

Most of those youngsters have been mislead long before they reach the collegiate level. Many high school stars have no where near the education it takes to make it in college. Unfortunately, money talks and NCAA basketball is BIG MONEY. All but the superstars are an expendable commodity and the superstars turn the tables on the universities and in turn, make them expendable by jumping to the NBA.
