Rose Bowl in an hour and a half...

An hour and a half until the Rose Bowl. Go USC!!! I'm in Houston but being a Texas A&M fan I can't root for Texas.

I hope it doesn't go as long as the game last night. Three overtimes made for a pretty rough day at work.

I know...I kept wanting to turn it off since I had to get up early, but since they're my two favorite teams, I continued to watch. Luckily I had time spare this afternoon to pick up a few z's.

If USC wasn't as powerful as they've been the last two years everyone would be talking about Texas' offense which is also averaging 50+ ppg....I just think the only way USC is stopped is by themselves and if they don't stop themselves tonight...graduation of Leinart and Bush to the pros will stop them next year.

USC will win this one....I'd have to say it will be 41-24.

Good game so far. Is Keith Jackson the USC mascot or what ? Extremely biased commentary so far. Reggie B. is the 3rd best ball handler on the field and the 2nd best USC RB so far. I have USC in the pick-em, but hook-em Horns.

Bad call. Watch for the make-up call. Texas probably would've scored anyway the way they were moving. Mental mistake by the USC coaching staff....T/O should've been called.

Calling TO didn't work for the Eagles. What makes you think it would've worked here?

What's with these kickers on these high profile college teams ? I see high schoolers every Friday night in season better than these guys. Pro prospects - V. Young = Superman, Leinart = the real deal, R. Bush = the 2nd best pro RB prospect on his team...IMO. Great game , but I don't think Young will be able to beat USC by himself.

Unbelievable... what a game. As I said in the other thread, Vince Young is the best college football player I've ever seen. A man amongst boys ...boys who'd won 34 straight. I have to go look up the stats... but how did this guy not win the Heisman ? Leinhart was also terrific. It'll be interesting to see who goes pro. I think the team that takes Bush over Young, Leinhart or even Lendale White will live to regret it.

Jimmy Johnson said it...the Texans should trade Bush for 3 or 4 other picks...the thing is they already have a great QB in Carr but wouldn't Young make a great backup?

Don't let one game make you forget about the amazing game changing abilities of Bush. The pro teams sure won't. He can step right in and be a difference maker. I don't see any QB's doing that in the NFL.

Young's been doing it for a couple of years with a much less talented supporting cast than Bush. So you think that a great RB is more valuable than a great QB in the NFL, League ?? Didn't watching Barry play for 10 years teach you anything ?

No, great NFL QBs are far more valuable, but they are also very rare. Young is a great COLLEGE QB and any greatness he may, or may not, achieve in the NFL is a few years down the road.
