That Time of The Year Again in Detroit ...

The football season has long faded into hideous memory. It should be months before the baseball season becomes truly embarrassing. Yes, the basketball and hockey playoffs are nearly upon us , when we get to root for arguably the best teams in both sports in their quests for the championships. GO PISTONS !!! ....
GO WINGS !!!

I think the Red Wings might be a little hungry this year. That'll make them real tough to beat.

The Wings have really been a pleasant surprise. I knew they'd be competitive, but I didn't expect a President's Cup(not locked up yet, of course), after they had to cut a lot of high-priced talent due to cap guidelines. God knows, they aren't getting any younger either. Anything can happen in the playoffs in hockey, though. I actually feel a lot more confident about the Pistons chances. I just don't see anyone capable of taking 4 of 7 from them.

When I read the title of the thread I figured this was the time of year that the fire department comes out and sprays off all the dirt and grime from the winter.

Good luck with the pistons and the red wings anyway.

wazmankg, for me, this time of year in Detroit is when my daughter, son-in-law and two year old grandson make the trek from Detroit to NJ for a 5-day visit. Can't wait!

Oh yeah, the other stuff is pretty cool too.
