Here's another stat that doesn't bode well for the Cardinals.....28 of the 33 teams that have started the series 2-0 have gone on to win. Stats are for losers....PLAY BALL!
I brought up those stats not to doom and gloom the Cards. It has no bearing on what happens tonight. It's just a stat that will probably have to change tonight and for the rest of the series if they want to win.
I can tell you one thing for sure: if the Red Sox continue to commit 4 errors per game, they will get burnt big time eventually. You can't expect the Cardinals to not come through the entire series. We are not out of this yet by any stretch. Before the season the Cubs and Astros would dominate us, during the season it was only a matter of time until the Cubs got healthy and we were done for, then before the playoffs we didn't have enough pitching to make the World Series. Now the Red Sox have the World Series won. We'll see how that turns out.
Cards down 2-0 but they've had a bunch of chances. Bases loaded with one out in the 1st. Larry Walker got thrown out at home on a sacrifice fly. Then 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 3rd. The Cards should have at least a run.
It just seems like they've suffered from bad luck all series. Nothing seems to be going their way. Hopefully they'll come back and perform a miracle. They just need a little something to get them going. Then they'll be on fire!
