I was just wondering if anyone has ESPN insider. It drives me crazy every day. You honestly can not see half of ESPN with out it but is it really worth the $50 for one year. Does anyone recomend another site. I mainly use it to check out the recruiting for Michigan and NC State.
Allen, for some reason, the ESPN site takes FOREVER to load on my computer - to the point that it is now the last of the sports sites that I read. And all the ads drive me up a tree. So, no, don't have Insider!
I have been reading Fox Sports and CBS Sportsline instead and leaving ESPN for when I have to take a break from the desk long enough for it to load. I really like Fox - their updates are very fast!
Also, being a Terps fan, I have their website on my "favorites" - if you don't have your teams sites, give that a try.
Yeah I'm on mgoblue.com and gopack.com all the time. I've also started going to the SprotingNews.com site a lot. It's not too bad I like it better than ESPN.
I used to love sportingnews.com, until they combined with foxsports.com, so basically they're the same site now. I just eliminated that one from my favorites. I have my team's site, goduke.com, as well as a good one related to their basketball team, dukebasketballreport.com, on my faves and check them both quite a bit.
I used to be an ESPN Insider subscriber. When I was with them, it wasn't very expensive at all so I thought it was worth it for those who can't get enough of sports. The reason for this is that half of their content is seemingly for Insiders as you mentioned.
I agree with the length of time ESPN takes to load. But I'm such a sucker, I can't switch to another site because I think I might miss something that's on ESPN and not elsewhere. I know, that doesn't make any sense.
As a big time, long time, Phoenix Suns fan, one of my favorite Suns sites has a guy on it that cuts and pastes the NBA insider on an almost daily basis. Otherwise, I'd never have read any 'pay' stuff on-line. $50!? That's way too much to pay to read news that you could probably find elsewhere or read someone's opinion.....
Dude, they just keep adding and adding things to their insider lists. We cant see any fantasy stuff, no chats, nada. I feel like without insider (which used to be considerably cheaper) the only thing espn is good for now is strictly news (like, Detroit beats Minnesota, etc).... and page 2..
If you were looking at it mainly for recruiting, you might want to give it a try... they seem to have loads of info on that. at least for basketball they seem to..
