I'm still debating going down to Mobile for the GMAC Bowl. Probably won't make it, with the cost of airfare on such short notice, the holiday right after, and having to work until midnight the night before, but it would be a great time if I could swing it. Bowling Green vs. Memphis... it should be a shootout!
I am thinking about going to the Motor City Bowl even though I don't know either of the teams playing. I think Northwestern is but I think it would be cool to experience a bowl atmosphere.

UCONN is one team, they play (probably) the winner of Miami(OH) and Toledo's game tomorrow night. I went to the MCB last year (again, GO FALCONS!!!) and it was a great time. I think they have a deal where if you or someone you know works for one of the major automakers, you get tickets, food and drink for $17 or something like that.
If Miami(OH) goes, I can swallow a bit of pride and root for a MAC team to win it, but if Toledo goes, I will be the world's biggest UCONN Huskie football fan EVER for a day.
I don't bowl!.....I thought bowls were for old people? but then again so is golf(I think) .....So why am I playing golf? oh I dunno I'm confused
You picked the right sport GG. Bowling is ok for getting out of the house & hanging with your friends or maybe as a weekly night out with the spouse. But as a sport it is boooooooorrrring. There just isn't much to it. I was a weekly league bowler for about 20 years... around a 200 avg when I quit. Could've been a bit better, but there are few activities less interesting than practicing bowling.

I see you are a big Toldeo fan. My dad's friends son was red shirted there as a wide reciever but he played runningback. He was only like 5'9" so they transfered him to wide reciever. He had 4.37 speed but he transfered to Grand Valley State to get some playing time. Now as a red shirted sophmore he is the #2 reciver, #3 rusher and returns kicks.
Ugh. Yuck. *SPIT* Yuck (yes, yuck again!!!)
I can't stand Toledo. I went to Bowling Green, and not only is Toledo our biggest rival, I've come to discover that a very large percentage of their fans, young and old, have very little class to them. Heck, when we played them last week (and blew a 27-7 halftime lead! GRRR!), their entire student section banged their thundersticks together during the national anthem. Disgusting. I hope Miami(OH) beats them bad tonight, and whoever they play in a bowl game make tonight's game feel like a walk in the park. Toledo played in the MCB a couple years ago, went down 35-0 or so to Boston College, then started throwing punches. REEEEEAAAAL classy bunch. (Except your dad's friend's son. I'm sure he's a great guy, especially since he was smart enough to get out! *laugh*) Is GVSU still winning even after their coach bailed for CMU? (CMU is gonna be tough in the coming years. That guy knows how to coach, and they've got some good young talent, too!)
