I'm not sure if that brother with the flip-up sunglasses really has enough game to play in the NBA, though his passion for Denise and Whitney was admirable.

Dwayne Wade is an upgraded version of Kobe who seems to pass the ball more frequently, making others more confident

I think Kobe is better becuase he has always been the one to nail that last second shot when EVERYTHING is on the line.

He's also missed a lot of last second shots. Dwyane hasn't had a game in which EVERYTHING is on the line yet. :nodsmiley

At this point, Kobe Bryant is better than Dwayne Wade. Kobe Bryant routinely gets placed in the top 5 of all NBA players. Would people consider Wade as good, if not better? I don't think so. Kobe has the experience, the skill and the rings to put him above Wade at this point. The rings may have come with Shaq but Kobe played a large role in winning those championships, too.

I think Wade has a bright future ahead of him and is a future perennial all-star. This is only his second year but to put him ahead of Kobe would be silly, IMO. Why don't we wait for him to accomplish something or actually make an all-star team first?

Not from Miami. I think that Dwayne is a lot better than Kobe was on his second year.

Now, if your poll question was, "Who would Shaq rather have on his team?" you might get a different discussion.

Who's a better player? Kobe. Who's a more valuable teammate for Shaq? Probably Wade as he's more likely distributor of the ball. Wade's a point guard who handles the ball, whereas Kobe is a SG whose main job is to score. Kobe just had to run the point with the Lakers last year because they didn't really have an effective PG. Heck, get both Kobe and Wade in the same backcourt, then you'd have something.......

I agree that Wade is better than Kobe was his second year, but remember, Kobe was only 19 in his second year, didnt get the PT (was playing behind Eddie Jones and Nick the Quick), and I think he still made the all star team (albiet through the fan vote)...

in any case, if you look at it at this moment in time, you'd have to be nuts to say Wade is better than Kobe... Kobe has the resume of a hall of famer, Wade not yet. Yes, Kobe has missed a lot of game winning shots, but MJ missed more game winners than he made in his career, and he's widely regarded the best ever. No one remembers the ones you miss, it's the ones you make that people drool over, and Kobe has an accomplished list of game winners, along with a reputation as the most clutch player in the game today (taken from a survey of NBA GM's).

Wade will be a special player, heck, he might even be better than Kobe someday (although I personally doubt it), but to say hes better than Kobe now is a little far fetched, IMO.

I am not a Kobe fan by any means but I do think it's almost ridiculous to say Wade is a better player than Kobe at this point. I also think Wade is going to be a star in the NBA and may one day pan out to be better than Kobe but he's not even close yet. If you think about it, Dwayne Wade might not even be placed ahead of Carmelo or Lebron when it comes to last year's rookie class. How could he be considered better than Kobe?

Maybe because he's passed the ball to an open team mate at least once!

Kobe is easily the better player, but Wade seems to click better with Shaq. With all the arguing that went on between Kobe and Shaq in LA, I'm not suprised Shaq was ready to get outta there. He has found someone who he really gets along with, and they are able to bring out the best of eachothers games when they play together :nodsmiley . Looks like there might be a new dynamic duo in the NBA .
